BECOME A RAID HYPOXIC TRIMIX INSTRUCTOR

This instructor program represents the very highest level of open-circuit, open-water, mixed gas, decompression training within the RAID system. A dive professional at this level is authorised to take students beyond 60 metres to a maximum depth of 100 metres. The jump from Normoxic trimix to Hypoxic is divided into two twenty metre steps: 80 metres, 100 metres. Dives to these depths are extremely complex and you will be leading your students to where gas management, exposure to oxygen toxicity, and the physical and mental challenges of long decompression obligations are extreme.

SKILLS (WHAT YOU’LL LEARN)

Every dive to 80 metres and beyond becomes a learning experience. At this level, you will be demonstrating and teaching complex dive planning, the risks of diving hypoxic gases and the importance of gas ceilings, short and long-term oxygen toxicity concerns, the role of gas density on diver comfort and safety, complex equipment selection and in-water management, and the many other stressors associated with venturing below the 60 metre mark to your students. You’ll also refine your ability to coach, motivate, and guide students to their full potential.

OUTCOME

There is You will develop advanced risk management strategies, be balanced and focused under extreme task loading, and be able to demonstrate professional leadership and a commanding presence under water and above.

To get started, all you need to do is register with RAID and create an online profile by clicking here. Once registered, you can purchase the course online in our “Store”, and then start reading the manuals and complete the quiz and exam. Once registered, you will have immediate access to RAID’s unique FREe-Learning platform, where you can download your course and start your academic training immediately. FREe-Learning allows you to download the manuals and complete all the associated quizzes. Once you have done this, you will need to contact your local RAID Dive Center to schedule your course and let them guide you through the training process. Once you have agreed all associated fees, your dive center will open the full training program so that you can complete any exams, have all your skills signed off, and receive your electronic certification card. Your RAID online course includes all your training materials, which you can access for life. Upon completion, your internationally recognized electronic certification will be issued.
