BECOME A RAID ADVANCED DECOMPRESSION INSTRUCTOR

With experience as a RAID Decompression Instructor, you are ready to lead your students a little deeper for a little longer. This is level two in RAID’s open circuit technical pathway and is the natural next step for you and your students after gaining experience with RAID Decompression. This course uses a helium-based mixed gas to a depth of 50 metres.

This is our modern approach to teaching and learning technical diving. This approach also gives divers (and dive leaders) time to expand their abilities and benefit fully from the opportunity to expand experience, comfort zone, and knowledge, safely.

The structure of the Decompression instructor program follows the established RAID Way… Online academics → instructor development → open-water evaluations → new committed divers with the skills to enjoy their activities and become repeat customers.

REASONS TO TAKE THIS COURSE

This advanced course will equip your students with the knowledge and expertise to safely navigate depths of up to 50 meters (165 feet). With you as their lead, they will graduate with the capability to complete dives that: Require mandatory decompression stops lasting up to 30 minutes. Utilize independent decompression gases standard mixes appropriate for local conditions.
It is planned to have the safe execution of multi-stage decompression diving. Highlight the technical discipline required for deeper trimix pathways. Gases used for this program include twinset or sidemount divers optimizing a complex ascent using two decompression gases, so equipment management is a key component.

SKILLS (WHAT YOU’LL LEARN)

As part of this program, you will teach your students how to plan dives safely, confidently, and in strict accordance with RAID standards using one cylinder of decompression gas (up to and including 100 percent oxygen) during dives with extended bottom time and increased opportunities to explore and experience a new approach to their diving. Available to 40 metres max depth using air and nitrox, 45 metres air and nitrox, or 45 metres air, nitrox, trimix.

OUTCOME

This course has been designed to improve the quality and depth of your instructional capability and your ability to assess diver performance in a controlled but demanding environment.

Successful graduation means you will be able to teach RAID’s new decompression course and build experience to move on to the next steps in RAID’s Technical Pathway.

To get started, all you need to do is register with RAID and create an online profile by clicking here. Once registered, you can purchase the course online in our “Store”, and then start reading the manuals and complete the quiz and exam. Once registered, you will have immediate access to RAID’s unique FREe-Learning platform, where you can download your course and start your academic training immediately. FREe-Learning allows you to download the manuals and complete all the associated quizzes. Once you have done this, you will need to contact your local RAID Dive Center to schedule your course and let them guide you through the training process. Once you have agreed all associated fees, your dive center will open the full training program so that you can complete any exams, have all your skills signed off, and receive your electronic certification card. Your RAID online course includes all your training materials, which you can access for life. Upon completion, your internationally recognized electronic certification will be issued.
