Explore The Wonder Of The Underwater World

Exploring the underwater world is a dream for many of us, and a goal most can achieve. For some, the attraction is colourful fish and the fascinating life found on coral reefs. Others want to explore wrecks, and some want the challenge of mastering the technical aspect of managing their equipment at increased depths to explore less accessible reefs, wrecks and unexplored areas. Effortlessly floating just off the bottom while exploring the wonders of the underwater world is an experience that will keep you coming back for more.

With more than 70% of our beautiful blue planet’s surface being water, you’ll need a special & ‘passport’ to explore it safely. The world’s number one ‘passport’ is either the RAID Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver certification. The world’s oceans and waterways offer everything from calm, slow and peaceful dives to adrenaline filled, intense experiences, and all that is waiting for you.

Chances are, you have always been interested in becoming a diver. Perhaps you have seen one of those amazing documentaries, and you think – can it really be that good? It is!

Nothing on earth, nothing you will ever experience, compares to becoming a scuba diver.
From the time you experience the magic of taking your first underwater breathe, you’ll be hooked. As your RAID instructor teaches you how to float weightless in the water, you will know you’re preparing for a truly life-changing experience.

Whether gliding over a colourful reef, being surrounded by schools of fish, or learning history from a shipwreck from a bygone era, the adventure never stops.

The RAID Scuba Diver, Open Water 20, and its respective junior versions, are our most popular diver programs. You will learn everything you need to know to explore the underwater world with confidence and a totally different point of view.

Start Today

To get started, all you need to do is register with RAID and create an online profile by clicking here. Once registered, you can start by choosing a RAID Dive Centre in your area. They will advise you on the prerequisites for the course and explain the steps you’ll take to earn your RAID certification. Once registered, you are ready to begin your academic training by reading the manuals and completing the quizzes to work towards passing the final exam. Once that’s finished, and you have agreed all associated fees the real fun begins, and you will work with a RAID professional to complete the practical course work. Once that’s complete and you and your instructor are happy with your progress, you will sign off the required skills (part of RAID’s unique QA system) and receive your electronic certification card.

Once registered, you will also have immediate access to RAID’s unique FREe-Learning platform. With FREe-Learning you can download all RAID courses. FREe-Learning allows you to download the manuals and complete all the associated quizzes. The final exam is locked until you register the program with a RAID dive centre.
