- You can present this course can be presented as a standalone extended range that will broaden your experience and understanding of the challenges of deep diving. This program is not a requirement for students making the transition from Advanced Decompression to Normoxic Decompression.
SKILLS (WHAT YOU’LL LEARN)
Dive plans at this level will include planning around detailed gas needs for exploration at considerable depth resulting in lengthy decompression. Teaching this course, you will be recommending gas choices tailored for the mission, reinforcing the need for precise oxygen management, the history of deep diving, and the physiological and phycological effects of depth diver comfort and judgement. Skills also include planning for longer exposures and thermal stress.
OUTCOME
When you certify graduates from this program, they will have a solid understanding of deep diving without the aid of trimix and be drilled in complex equipment management and carrying multiple stages needing detailed gas switching procedures. They will demonstrate exceptional skills under difficult conditions.
