Experience Scuba Diving
The RAID Junior Scuba Diver program was designed to accommodate those between the ages 12-14 who are short on time and can’t complete the full Junior Open Water 20 course. The program is derived from the RAID Junior Open Water 20 course and provides you with basic knowledge and the full experience of scuba diving and the underwater World.
Prerequisites
- Swim comfortably and perform the skills below
- Age: Junior SCUBA Diver - 12 to 14 years old
- Be prepared to learn and have a bunch of fun
Course Content
- Online e-learning or mobile APP academic presentations, quizzes, exam.
- Complete the skill requirements as specified by the specific training manual.
- A ten-minute survival swim/float without the use of mask, fins, snorkel, or other swimming aids.
- Distance swimming capability by one of the two following methods:
- Swim 200 meters without the use of mask, fins, snorkel, or other swimming aids.
- OR
- Swim 300 meters using mask, fins and snorkel without other swimming aids.
- 1 hour logged underwater in Open Water.
- 2 Open Water dives.
Depth Limitation: 12 metres / 40 feet
🔍 Training is divided into two sections. Academic or Theoretical, which is provided for in the course manuals / materials provided online. These may be purchased (RAID STORE) directly or provided for by your RAID Dive Centre following your appointment. The second part is your practical training, which is managed by your RAID Dive Centre and conducted by the appointed RAID Instructor. For the practical training costs, you must discuss this with your appointed RAID Dive Centre.
