This entry level rebreather course, designed specifically for recreational divers looking to start diving Closed Circuit Rebreathers (CCRs) introduces the basic concepts of diving with a rebreather and is limited to specific “recreational” units.
Participants will learn about the principles of closed-circuit breathing, gas management, and the unique operational considerations of CCR diving. With a strong emphasis on safety, the course combines theoretical instruction with hands-on training, ensuring you are well-prepared for your underwater adventures.

RAID supports the following rebreathers for this course:

Due to the unique characteristics of each individual rebreather, certifications awarded are unit specific.
Student Prerequisites
- Divers must be at least 18 years old.
- Have earned RAID Nitrox diver or equivalent.
- Be certified as a RAID Explorer 30 or equivalent (or above).
- And must have logged 20 open water dives with at least 15 hours underwater using open circuit scuba.
